This is a good painkiller but I have problems hallucinating on anything morphine based stronger than co-codamol so have only used it in hospital where it has been monitored.

I'm using Tramadol on and off for good few years now for my back pain. Even throughout pregnancy. It's a lifesaver. For me just one pill is enough for 24 hours (not 2 every 4hours like they advice). Makes me a little bit dizzy and sleepy. But it's helping a lot with the pain so it is worth it!

For moderate to severe pain - in my case leg pain it is very useful. Side effects did not bother me - it can elevate your mood a little and cause increased dizziness; I experienced these but it soon passes.

I take tramadol for a variety of pains. I have found it works really well for back pain, severe migraines and ruptured cysts. I do find sometimes that it makes me quite dopey and silly so I try to use it before bed so I can sleep through the worst of the side effects. If I take it during the day I find it makes me incredibly drowsy and have been known to fall asleep in my dinner. All in all it is a very effective painkiller though.
